| Treebeard are a 5 piece band who describe their music as “Heavy Wood” an eclectic selection of modern rock & pop songs given an acoustic treatment (“Ace of Spades” on duelling fiddle & accordion), originals about ghostly black dogs & satanic barristers, traditional English & Irish songs & tunes, and traditional Russian tunes (on assorted HUGE balalaikas!). All topped off with four part harmony vocals. The line up is :- Chris McMahon:- 12 string guitar, bouzouki, accordion, balalaikas, vocals Paul McMahon:- bass guitar, balalaikas, vocals Ceri Ashton:- flute, fiddle, viola, whistle & vocals Paul Chisnell:- Djembe, Congas, Dumbek, assorted percussion & vocals Gordon Walker:- fiddle, mandolin & vocals We have recorded one CD, "Heavy Wood", have a track “Train” featured on the “Forged in Sheffield” folk compilation CD, and are just about to release our 2nd CD "Reel Ale". |

| Treebeard turned out to be exactly right for our event, which was a mini-festival to celebrate our wedding. It was an outdoor event, and they happily played on our make-shift stage (which was a decorated curtain sided truck!). There were a large number of regular festival go-ers amongst the crowd, and they loved Treebeard's repertoire - it was a fantastic conclusion to a fantastic day/evening. They were also really nice, friendly and highly professional. We'd definitely recommend them for people who love folky, rocky, fiddley jump around kind of music! | |

| We booked this band without really knowing their sound but liked the sort of music they played. We had them for our wedding and they were outstanding, we look forward to booking them again. Value for money? Without a doubt! We recommend them to anyone and everyone. Many thanks guys (and gal) | |

| A fantastic multi-talented group of musicians who played a mixture of traditional Irish music interspersed with a blend of rock, pop and country that had everyone on the dance floor all night long. Superb! Have already re-booked them for our beer festival in July and for our St. Pat's Dance next year! | |
